As the Assistant Director of Business Development, Katie Gallagher organizes the firm’s relationship management and marketing efforts. She assists with the development and implementation of new communications strategies specifically tailored to different colleges, universities and independent schools. Furthermore, Katie provides support for planning and execution of events and conferences.
Before joining A&S, Katie worked at The College of Wooster in Wooster, OH, as the Communications Coordinator for APEX, the College’s center for advising, planning, and experiential learning. Her work included creating promotional materials for events and workshops as well as managing all social media and student outreach. She has also served on boards for non-profits, such as the Alliance of AIDS Services in Raleigh, NC, and the Wayne Center for the Arts in Wooster, OH, as a marketing liaison.
While attending The College of Wooster Katie studied communications and became infatuated with the idea that a story could shape someone’s understanding of their world. Her studies were focused in media and rhetoric, culminating in her senior thesis, which explored how a TV show for young adults upheld and subverted the traditional ideals of motherhood.
